I lost all my motivation to lose weight, I feel like I'm going to be stuck in this overweight body forever. My mind is my biggest component, I need some advice on getting back to becoming healthy again.
That is terrible to hear I know how hard it can be, I know about the lack of support you might get from friends and family members trust me I’ve been there. What kept and keeps me going is the constant reminder of why. Only you know why my reasons of why are going be different from yours and many others. Figure out why you want to be healthy and fit and hold on to that. It doesn’t matter how simple or shallow your reasons maybe as long as they motivate you to take your health and body to next level. Keep me posted on your progress of getting back on the grind, winter nears you got time to turn it all around go get it!
Does it really matter what time you work out? Someone told me a person will only see results if they work out in the morning. Truth be told, though, I'm definitely not morning person. I'm a college student who takes joy in the littlest amounts of sleep that I get--which are minute in the best of them. What's your opinion?
I work out at night from times starting at 9 or 10 pm and ending anywhere around 11:30-12am and I still lost 82 pounds so that time of the day shit is BS. As for sleep I get on average 5-7 hours, remember if your gonna work out and sleep less prepare to crash your body will do what it does best and take over the situation and cut off all lights next thing you know you wake up 12 hours later because your body demanded recharging. just try and get a decent amount of sleep and don’t worry about what time of day you can get your training in.
Okay so in short..I WANT BETTER ABS. I eat healthy and do P90x ab ripper 4-5 days a week. I also rock climb, run, a little crossfit etc but my ans arent where I want them. Is it bad that I do p90x so often? hense muscle confusion and all that? Do I need to find more ab work outs and mix it up? Eat less maybe? Smaller portions?
you sound very active what I would tell you to look at is your diet all the ab work outs in the world will not make them show. when you work a muscle its doesn’t shrink it grows so all your doing is thickening you abdominal wall with all of that crunching. so take a look at your diet tweek it a bit and keep up with the activity. so yes I agree with smaller portions and cutting a couple hundred calories but do not drop below 1200-1500 cals.
Hello. I'm a 17 year old girl who's slightly overweight. I've tried dieting and exercise in the past, but it never seems to produce any results. Should I just continue dieting and exercising daily, or is there something else I can do that could help?
keep dieting keep exercising, just keep going keep experimenting and understanding what our body responds best to.
IIFYM stands for If It Fits Your Macros. The means basically, eat right, but don’t get all caught up in the whole ‘clean vs dirty’ food debate that seems to still go on. If you want to eat whole grain bread, oats, brown rice, etc. etc. Then do it. If you want to eat white bread, white rice, and pop tarts, as long as it fits in with your other macronutrients and your goals in terms of caloric intake then it isn’t going to make much of a difference in the long run. It all comes down to personal preference.
So, basically don’t get into the whole “If I have ice cream I’m going to get fat” or, “I’ll never have pizza again” mentality. If you want it, you can have it, just make sure it fits your macros.
Some people have this misconception that they can’t lose weight. I sit and think to myself like wait? You were born with a body that can only gain and not lose?! Cut the crap people unless you have some condition that keeps you from doing strenuous activity that still is no excuse you can diet (I am well aware there are some rare cases). Eating doesn’t equal living and food doesn’t equal love. Get your mind right along with your body.
