Are You a Winner?
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately so is losing. Keep the following contrasts in mind—and strive to always be a winner.  Winners are confident. Losers have doubt. Winners hustle. Losers loaf. Winners praise others. Losers complain. Winners listen. Losers talk. Winners are accountable. Losers point the finger. Winners are enthusiastic. Lowers lack passion. Winners are great teammates....

Its Not All About the SCALE!
Anymore that is when I weighed well over 300 pounds I lived and died by the scale after each gym session and every time I woke up in the morning. Now I don’t feel the same anymore as I near my goal weight (28 pounds away) I can’t lie I’m stuck in the 240’s but the fat around my body seems be reducing though the numbers on the scale stay the same. Now I’m like fuck the...

There Is NO such thing as Muscle Memory
What people don’t know they mean but actually mean is “Kinesthetic memory” Kinesthetic memory is the awareness of one’s orientation in space, and the way muscular movements combined with movement can be used to heighten awareness of what is generally identified as the Body of Light (Astral Light), the Astral Body or Double. In this exercise one learns through imagination...

the-bullfighter asked: Appreciate all the postings dude ... regarding age to train, my bro is 17 and i'm trying to figure out how much to push him because obviously we are both different in strength and body. At the moment he is still skinny and wants to get strong but he can't even complete a set of 10 regular pushups, and he wants to do weights. My experience says to keep him on the...

What is the Appropriate Age to Start Training?
There’s a lot of confusion and misinformation about when young athletes can begin to train. Some people throw out a random age that they feel is appropriate and claim that lifting weights before then will stunt growth—something no athlete wants. It’s true that if a young athlete with no training experience tries to perform advanced exercises [e.g., Back Squat or Bench Press] with heavy loads, he...

Work Your Entire Core!
Contrary to popular belief, the core is more than just ab muscles. So when you see someone rip out 100 Crunches in the weight room, he’s only developing a small part of his possible core strength. In fact, the core includes muscles from the thighs to the chest, including the obliques, low back extensors, hip flexors and glutes. All of these areas function together to efficiently transfer force...

Best Protein Choices
Choose wisely when it comes to protein. Sources that are high in fat, like red meat, dark meat poultry and anything that’s heavily processed inhibit the muscles’ ability to respond to energy demands for four hours. Eating these foods before training or competition can negatively affect performance by causing a lethargic feeling throughout the activity. Low-quality proteins can also increase...

Anonymous asked: I can't log into my Tumblr because I am @ work, but I wanted to tell you I appreciate the images you post. If you plan on posting more text updates, cool, but don't let that dissuade you from putting up some pictures. Each person is different and some persons aren't going get the same impact from pix. Keep up the good work.

bohemianrider asked: Please don't take it personally but I'm unfollowing you because I don't want to see so many photos on my dash of women that do not motivate me. I think those photos do the opposite for me and you so many of them that it's hard to ignore. I've enjoyed your text posts though. All the best.

dont-quit-get-fit asked: Hi! I love your blog, it's very motivating. <3 And I have a question. I've just begun working out and i've been in a pretty bad physical shape all my life. Should I be proud or dissappointed about burning (only?) 500 calories at the gym today? :/ I'll work harder as I get stronger and push myself to my limits. ;)

Tip Of The Day
Increase glute strength and hip flexibility with Dumbbell Reverse Lunges. Step back and lower into lunge until front knee is bent 90 degrees. Keeping your core tight, fire through glute to drive up and forward into start position. Do 3x8 each leg.
