I've always been the kind of person who eats a ton of junk food and sugar, and I'm trying to cut back but I'm finding it really hard. How do I make the cravings go away?
I know it sucks but you gotta do it cold turkey or find out what your really craving it may not really be the junk food but something in that food your body is craving. Above all else, eat enough. When your body is chronically under-fueled, it’ll start screaming for all sorts of wacky things. For many people, the best way to defeat cravings is to simply eat a greater quantity of raw foods.
Do you have any advice/tips for women who are pregnant? I'm only two months and havent worked out in a while, but am starting again. I definitely want to keep fit, strong, and eat right. Any advice for workouts and food? I really love your blog, its very inspirational :) :)
Well when my girl friend was pregnant what doctors told us is if you didn’t live an active life style before don’t try and be it now. What you should do is 3 times a week about 30 minutes, don’t over exert yourself especially if you lived a sedentary lifestyle. Good things to do are walking swimming bicycle working pelvic floor exercises such a kegeles, bridges, partial wall squats and exercises for you back, not directly on your back but in a quadruped positions like bird dog and cat and camel stretches. But what is always best is to talk to your doctor.
i was reading you what's and hows on protein but i still have a question. #1 I got a smoothie and the lady said she put WHEY in it instead of soy because I was about to go work out; and that if i didnt work out right after i drank it it would turn to fat, is this true? Also, I have a friend that JUST drank WHEY shakes and ate meat for dinner so carbs and lost 20 lbs in two weeks. is this possible for anyone? I am trying to lose 30lbs of weight and get toned. any tips or things I SHOULD NOT do? H
Protein will not be stored or turn into fat its not the bodies main source of energy but when it comes to building the body up its great! nothing you eat turns into fat the carbs you eat turn into sugar (glucose) which is basically the fuel we run on day in and out. As long as you are active and continue to work your muscles and break them down your body will use these carbs to propel you thru your work outs. Think of it like this when you work out hard you mirco-tear the muscles, your body needs to repair itself right? How does it do this is thru the nutrients you ingest. Repeat this process I.E. exercise your body will have a hard time storing anything you will either maintain the same weight or lose weight depending on your caloric intake. I completely just spit all of this out for you and tried to condense it and make it as simple as possible lol I hope this helps don’t judge my typos please! If nothing I wrote is clear let me know I didn’t even proof read this I just got up from a quick nap after my work out :)
I took the words you brought to me with heart, and using my own motivation to get these pounds off and I'm 8 lbs down and feeling great and ready to lose some more. Thank you for the words to kick me off my butt!
Keep up the great work keep the progress going it will get really tough but stick through it I’m happy to be your motivation. Stay positive until the weight and inches go negative.
hi, i just started working out a week ago. i have lost 3 pounds since. i tried running this morning my knee is sore :( i also feel depressed. shouldn't i feel happier? i'm female at 5 feet tall 213ponds tying to get to 130. i kinda feel like i don't what i'm doing. :( u look great btw
Trust me I had no idea in the beginning you will get a hold on things just keep going. If you knee is sore running right now is something you should stay away from or focus on better form. You will find happiness in your progress and 3 pounds is a great start DON’T STOP KEEP GOING.
i know youve been asked this before but i cant find it:( but do you reccommend any stretch mark creams or ointments? or do they just go away when you lose more weight?
the “tiger stripes” can be cleared I just don’t know what outlets to take to get it done. Mine aren’t so bad that I need to get rid of them but If I stumble across any avenues I will definitely post links, articles etc.
Hey, losing all that weight, did you ever have problems with stretch marks?
luckily just in the creases of my arms no where else but those were there when my weight went up none when losing the weight. All I can say is embrace them feel comfortable in your skin and be confident in your progress of the weight loss.
